Cartersville Baptist presents cantata

Cartersville Baptist Church will present the cantata, “Holding on to Christmas,” on Friday, Dec. 16 and Sunday, Dec. 18, at 7 p.m.
The cantata will tell the Christmas story in word and song. Fred and Tina Shumaker will read the narration. The musical will include solos, adult choir and a children’s choir. Karen Gibson, Jennifer Norman and David Mack will present solos. A quartet will consist of June Pleasants, Jennifer Norman, Spanky Pleasants and Dave Hale.
First sopranos are Gail Tompkins, Nancy Lewis and Beth Newton. Second sopranos are Jenny Bales, Wanda Johnston, June Pleasants, Pauline Shores, Tina Shumaker and Janice Hudgins. Altos are Jennifer Norman, Earlene Canaan, Karen Gibson, Linda Stanley and Anna Arthur.
Tenors are Randy Bryant, Dover Johnston, Spanky Pleasants and Darryl Dunn. Basses are Fred Shumaker, Dave Hale, David Mack, Brian Stanley and Wayne Poates.
Jacqueline and Don Suleski will portray Mary and Joseph. Kings are Tommy Tipton, Gerald Bales and Dakota Mohr. Shepherds are Cole Dalton, Brett Dalton and Christopher Johnston. Baby Jesus is Eliana Suleski. Angels are Madaline Johnston, Carol Mack, Olivia Mack and Annabelle Mack.
The director/pianist is Vivian Dunn. Nancy Lewis will direct the children’s choir.
Refreshments will follow in the fellowship hall.
