They participated in the 5,000-meter run of the boys senior division, an epilogue to their historic careers as Dukes cross country runners. Bapties placed 48th out of 168 runners with a time of 17 minutes, 22.2 seconds. Halvorsen took 126th, besting 42 other competitors with a time of 18:56.2.
