So, what is a book?

More important, what can a book be? Join the LCVA for its next Art After Dark: “Bind-A-Book: Cut, Fold, and Stitch,” and explore the world of objects, paper, text and image on and off the shelves.

You can work hands-on with Kerri Cushman, sculptural book artist and professor in the Longwood University department of Theatre, Art and Graphic Design. She will examine the world of bookmaking and show participants how to create their own pamphlet stitched journals, complete with fancy covers, for the holiday season.
