The pineapple, a symbol of welcome, was central to many Williamsburg decorations. On Thursday, Dec. 1, at noon, S. J. Drummond will welcome one and all as she presents “A Williamsburg Christmas” at the Heart of Virginia Master Gardener Lunch and Learn Program.
Ms. Drummond, a 2014 Master Gardener Graduate, will craft and review traditional Williamsburg-style Christmas decor as well as bring in a modern twist. Wreaths, table and sideboard arrangements will be the focus.
The Upper School Librarian and Educational Tech Coordinator at Fuqua School describes herself as a lifelong gardener and flower arranger. These skills she began learning at an early age by studying with her grandmother who was a talented floral designer, master judge and horticulturalist. In her spare time, she operates PETALS floral design.
