Nancy Kearney Redman

Nancy Kearney Redman, a longtime resident of Crewe, died Friday, November 25, 2016 at The Woodlands Grace Unit, while in comfort care in Farmville. Born in 1934 in Franklin County, NC, Nancy graduated from Franklinton High School in 1953.

She worked the soda fountain of B&M Drug Store in Crewe, then she was the secretary for Jones & Co. in Crewe. Nancy later taught Nursery School in her home and was a model “stay at home Mom.” She was always eager and available for her children’s school and sports activities, and was an active member of Pryor Memorial Presbyterian Church. We all know that Nancy Loved to talk and visit with her abundance of friends and family. She was well known for her recollection of family history, keeping our families and friends connected, and for always remembering birthdays and sending cards.

Nancy Redman was a loving wife and mother, who truly enjoyed people!

She is survived by her son, Timothy Carlton Redman (Beverly Redman); her daughter, Frances Redman Reese (Brett Reese); four grandchildren, Morgan Eskanazy (Kelsey Eskanazy), Louise Redman, David Redman, and Evan Reese; brother, Howard Kearney; sister, Sarah Moody; many special nieces, nephews, and cousins, all of who brought her great joy. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, William Carlton Redman (Billy); her parents, Troy and Irene Kearney; siblings, Shirley, Betty, Barbara Jean, David, and Tommy.

A memorial service was held at noon on Monday, November 28 at the Pryor Memorial Presbyterian Church, in Crewe, with a graveside service at the Crewe Cemetery. 

Memorial contributions may be made to Pryor Memorial Presbyterian Church, the Crewe Volunteer Fire Department, the Nottoway County Rescue Squad, or the Woodlands Inc. in Farmville.
