Shelia T. Hardy, 49, of Cumberland, departed this life on Monday, October 3, 2016 in Cumberland.

She is survived by her children, Dominique Erno (David) and Talayna Thornton; her mother, Annie

Thornton; father, William Ross; two grandchildren, Daz’mir and Daijiro; a sister, Shirley Barksdale (James); a stepbrother, Theadore Johnson; and a devoted fiancé, Karl Jackson; and many other relatives and friends.

Her remains rest at Marian Gray Thomas Funeral Home of Cum- berland where public viewing was held Satur-

day from 1 to 6 pm.
A funeral service was held Sunday at Rocky Mount

Baptist Church, Cumberland, with the Rev. Larry Smith, pastor officiating. Interment was in the church cemetery.
