- JORDAN MILES | HERALD Anthony Brodie stands at a restricted entrance on Brock Commons.
Though it’s probably Anthony Brodie’s first time in Farmville, it’s not the first time the security officer has secured a high-profile debate, such as the U.S. Vice Presidential Debate set for Tuesday at Longwood.
Brodie, who lives in Hampton Roads and works for G45 Custom, a contracted security firm, worked security for a prior debate in Charlotte, N.C. when President Barack Obama was seeking office.
He’s been in law enforcement for about 13 years, which includes his service to the state’s correctional system.
Brodie described Farmville as nice, quiet and relaxing, noting the people were very positive and outgoing.
