‘En-light(e)ning Talks’ surround debate

Longwood University faculty spoke at its “En-Light(e)ning Talks’ program on Monday from 1-4: p.m. on Lancaster Lawn. The event was open to the public.

The program was composed of ‘a series of short, informative and fascinating lessons in anticipation of the 2016 Vice-Presidential Debate,’ according to the university’s website. The lessons were 10 minutes each, which bean on the hour or half-hour followed by Q&As.

Professors Alec Hosterman, David Lehr, Lissa Power deFur, Charles Repp, Kristopher Paal, Brett Martz and Barbara Newton spoke on Monday at the event.

Tomorrow, professors Sean Ruday, Sarai Blincoe, Rhonda Brock-Servais, Kevin Doyle, Jeff Halliday, Charles White and David Magill will speak during the event beginning at 1 p.m.
