VIPs, residents dedicate Route 632 bridge

Leigh District Supervisor Jerry Townsend, center, wearing tie, cuts a ceremonial ribbon along with other officials and Leigh District residents during the dedication of a new bridge on Route 632 (Falkland Road) on Aug. 8 in Prince Edward County. According to the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT), the original bridge was structurally deficient. State forces completed the new bridge for an estimated cost of approximately $250,000.
