FARMVILLE — The town of Farmville is altering its garbage pick up schedule due to the Oct. 4 Vice Presidential Debate. According to a press release, garbage normally picked up on Tuesday, will be picked up on Monday. Roll-outs should be to the curb by 6 a.m. Monday to be collected; roll-outs should be back off the curb by midnight the same day. Curbside recycling for Tuesday’s routes will also change. Tuesday’s curbside recycling will be collected on Oct. 11 and 25 for this month only. South Main Street residents with garbage collection on Wednesday, Oct. 5, should not put their roll-outs to the curb until 10 a.m. that day. The garbage truck will not run on Oct. 4, so residents should not put out any roll-outs to the curb that day.
