FARMVILLE — The Farmville Planning Commission will meet Wednesday at 7 p.m. to consider a zoning amendment request and two rezoning cases.

According to the meeting agenda, the commission will consider a zoning amendment request from Edward and Michael Helton to add domestic violence shelters as an allowed use under business, B-3, and a re-zoning request for 1412 Longwood Avenue from residential, R-1, to business, B-3.

The commission will also consider rezoning the manufacturing districts in town, M-1, to business, B-3. The commission will also discuss the town’s Comprehensive Plan, appointing a vice chairman and secretary of the body and set meeting dates for the remainder of the fiscal year.

The commission will meet in the town council’s chambers at 116 N. Main St. in the town hall.
