Lease to give speech on exhibit

On Wednesday, Michael K. Lease will give a talk, followed by a reception, on the works in his photography exhibit, For the Lack of Words.
Lease, who received a BFA from Frostburg State University and MFA from Virginia Commonwealth University, is the exhibition manager at VCU’s Anderson Gallery, as well as an artist member of Richmond’s 1708 Gallery.
The event will take place at 4 p.m. in the Atkinson Museum and is sponsored by the Hampden-Sydney Fine Arts Department and the Atkinson Museum. It is a part of Hampden-Sydney’s continuing commitment to the intellectual and cultural enrichment of the Southside community and is free and open to the public.
The lecture and reception is in association with the exhibit, For the Lack of Words, on display at the Atkinson Museum through Sept. 23. The exhibit can be viewed during museum hours, Tuesday-Friday, 10 a.m.-noon and 1-5 p.m.
