FARMVILLE — Farmville Town Council will hold a special meeting Wednesday to interview prospective candidates for the position of police chief.

Council will hold the meeting at 9 a.m. in council chambers at town hall on Main Street.

According to the meeting notice, the council will convene in open session and immediately go into closed session to interview the candidates.

Council named A.Q. “Andy” Ellington acting police chief after former Chief Curtis Davis resigned.
