Barbara Ann (Brown) Gough, 64, of Dillwyn, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, September 17, 2016 at the Hospice House in Charlottesville. She was born on July 19, 1952 in Washington, DC, a daughter of Carrie Virginia (Perkins) Brown and the late Moses Brown.
Barbara worked as a Special Education Teacher’s Aide for Buckingham County Public Schools until her retirement. She was a devoted member of the Crystal Cathedral in Dillwyn. She enjoyed flowers and gardening, fishing, and most importantly she loved sharing Christ with others.
In addition to her mother, Carrie of Charlottesville, survivors include her husband, Thurman Gough of Dillwyn; three children, Jason Gough and wife, Perri of Waynesboro, Marcus Gough and fiancée, Shannon Fitzgerald of Buckingham, and Shavvon Price and husband, John Price Jr. of Appomattox; two brothers, Caruso Brown and wife, Christine and Douglas Brown of Charlottesville; seven grandchildren, Cameron Coles, Jael Gough, John Price III, Olivia Price, Eden Price, Zayden Fitzgerald, and Jayce Gough; four special friends, Virginia Cole, Rhonda Goldman, Esther Dibble, and Mattie Irene Gough; and a number of other extended family members and friends.
A funeral service will be conducted at 1 p.m., Thursday, September 22 at the Crystal Cathedral in Dillwyn with Pastor Maurice Carter officiating. Interment will follow in the family cemetery.
