Alice Walthall Crews

Alice Walthall Crews, 67, of North Chesterfield, and formerly of Farmville, passed away on September 24, 2016. She was born in Farmville to Alfred W. “Tubby” and Jill Henretta Walthall on December 18, 1948.

She was a member of the Farmville United Methodist Church and loved to sing in the choir. Her hobbies included making flower arrangements and tending to her cats. She was a strong person and a two-time cancer survivor.  She was employed by Southside Urology Clinic in Farmville for 15 years, where she served seven years as office manager.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Herbert F. Crews, and a brother-in-law Bob Hazelwood.

She is survived by her son, Shane P. Crews of Midlothian; granddaughter, Ava Raics of New Jersey; sister, Frances W. Hazelwood of North Chesterfield; and niece, Sandra Elliott and husband, Brian of Midlothian.

A graveside funeral service was held on Monday, September 26 in Trinity Memorial Gardens.
