Robert Branch Carroll, 81, of Dillwyn, passed peacefully on August 22, 2016.

He is survived by his children, Debbie Shamp, Lucy Worrell, Bobby Carroll and Jimmy Carroll; eight grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie Edward and Katie Herndon Carroll; sister, Joyce Amos; brothers, Reese, Luther, Ryland, Lindberg, Percy and Prentis Carroll; and the mother of his children, Mary Woody Carroll.

Private services will be held at a later date.
