Former Longwood University slugger Kyri Washington’s hot hitting has moved the second-year pro onto the Boston Red Sox’s top prospect listing while pitchers Mark Montgomery and Aaron Myers each continue to frustrate hitters out of the bullpen at their respective levels.

Washington is listed as the 30th prospect in the Boston organization on MLB.com after he hit .319 in June with 12 extra-base hits and 24 RBIs for the Greenville Drive, Boston’s Low Class-A affiliate.
