James Eddie “Beadie” Brown, 68, of Cumberland; a retiree from the Town of Farmville and a member of the Masonic Lodge #30 of Farmville; departed this life on Thursday, June 23, 2016 in Richmond.

He is survived by his wife, Cecelia; daughter, Earlene; three grandchildren, Erica, Taina and Diquan; two great grandchildren; mother, Lillie Alma Brown; two sisters, Lelia Trent (Gerry) and Sandra Steele (MacArthur); two aunts, three uncles, four sisters-in-law, two brothers-in-law, along with numerous other relatives and friends.

His remains rest at Marian Gray Thomas Funeral Home of Cumberland where public viewing will be held Tuesday, 10 am to 8 pm. Funeral service will be held Wednesday, at noon Rocky Mount Baptist Church, Cumberland, with interment in church cemetery.  The Rev. Larry E.
