Buckingham County High School varsity softball awards

Twelve Lady Knights from the Buckingham County High School varsity softball team received team participation awards while others earned All-Courthouse Conference 37 accolades and special team awards. Making the all-conference second team were Emily Gormus, as an outfielder, and Melissa Wright, as both a pitcher and a utility player. Shortstop Elizabeth Love, Catcher Haley Allen and Second Baseman Emily Todt received all-conference honorable mention. Special team awards included Offensive Player of the Year, which went to Gormus, Defensive Player of the Year, which went to Love, the Knight Award, which went to Allen, and the MVP honor, which went to Wright. The honored players are, from left, Love, Allen, Gormus, Alexis Crews, Wright, Tiara Bolden, Mattie Kish Heslip, Erin Currier and Raven Morgan; not pictured are Taja Jones, Todt and Dannyell Moore.
