The James River Baptist Association, composed of churches across Buckingham, Cumberland and Fluvanna counties, recently packaged 33,073 meals for the hungry. The means were packaged for Stop Hunger Now, an organization that gets food and life-saving aid to the world’s most vulnerable people and works to end global hunger in our lifetime. Over 170 volunteers worked at Maysville Baptist’s multipurpose center, putting the meals together. The meals packaged at the event will go to Haiti Outreach Ministries in Haiti, where they will feed children in schools and an orphanage.
