James Robinson Sr., 78, of Cartersville, departed this life on Sunday, May 22, 2016 at his residence.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Fannie Robinson; four children, Angela Booker (Larry Sr.), Laverne Robinson, Valerie Ayers (James) and James Robinson Jr.; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one brother, Linwood Jackson; three sisters, Rosa Jackson, Elaine Jackson (James) and Audrey “Ann” Jackson; one aunt, one sister-in-law, along with a host of other relatives and friends.

His remains rest at Marian Gray Thomas Funeral Home, Cumberland, where public viewing will be on Friday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Funeral service will be held Saturday, 1 p.m. at Rising Zion Baptist Church, 262 Anderson Highway, Cumberland, with interment in Mt. Calvary Baptist Church Cemetery, 1183 Cartersville Road, Cartersville, with the Rev. Norris Lewis officiating.
