James River State Park, 104 Green Hill Drive, Gladstone, in Buckingham County, will host a two-mile guided canoe tour of the James River on Saturday from 1-3 p.m.

Guides will discuss wildlife and the river during the tour.

The group will rest at Treasure Island, about halfway through the trip, to search for aquatic wildlife.

Pre-registration is required. The cost is $10, which includes the canoe. Ages 6 and over may participated, and no flip flops are allowed.
