Friends of Bear Creek to meet

The Friends of Bear Creek Lake State Park will meet on Sunday at Bear Creek Hall at 2 p.m. Following the meeting, the group will enjoy a ranger-led wildflower walk. Those who attend three meetings earn a Bear Creek Lake T-shirt and parking pass.
The Friends group is made up of volunteers from the Virginia Central Piedmont region who enjoy supporting the mission and operation of the park. The group is dedicated to furthering the development of education and entertaining programs for all ages. If you enjoy the outdoors and nature and would like to conserve it for future generations, come meet the Friends.
