The First Rock Baptist Church, of Prospect, will be celebrating its 148th church anniversary in conjunction with Family and Friends Day on Sunday, at 11:00 a.m. The Rev. Dr. Whitfield Scott, pastor emeritus of First Rock will be the guest speaker. The Rev. Bernice Smith, associate minister of Race Street Baptist Church, will be the worship leader. A guest choir from Petersburg will accompany Scott. Refreshments will be served immediately after the service.
