Albert Lee Williamson

Albert Lee Williamson, 66, passed into His Savior’s arms on Thursday, April 28, 2016, at Virginia Baptist Hospital in Lynchburg. He was born on January 7, 1950, in Granville County, North Carolina, to the late Patrick and Julia Williamson.  He is preceded in death by his brother, Lawrence Williamson of Roxboro, North Carolina.

He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Edith P. Williamson; his son, Davy Williamson, and his wife, Dayleena of Big Fork, Montana; his daughter, Hope Williamson of Farmville; his granddaughters, Erica Williamson, Amber Williamson, Stephanie Tappen, and Sabrina Tappen; his great-grandson, Jaden Williamson; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Albert was employed by Winn-Dixie in Farmville for 25 years and by Food Lion in Amelia for 15 years.  He also worked for the Richmond Times-Dispatch as a rural delivery person.  He was a member of Worsham Baptist Church in Farmville and a past member of Maranatha Baptist Church in Farmville.

Albert loved to fish at Sandy River Reservoir with his friend Robert. He also loved to listen to bluegrass music. Most of all, he loved his family and his Lord.

A memorial service will be held at Worsham Baptist Church on Saturday, May 7 at 11 a.m. with Pastors Ken Jones and Steve Conwell presiding.

Memorial donations may be made to Worsham Baptist Church, Maranatha Baptist Church, and Centra Hospice of Farmville.
