Jeff Irving Jamerson and Anne Floyd Wood will celebrate their 65th wedding anniversary on Wednesday.

The two were married on June 1, 1951, in the parlor of their pastor’s house in Farmville. Anne and Irving have two children: Douglas Irving, who is married to Harriette Cosby, of Powhatan, and Sandra LaVerne, who is married to Joseph Bartell, of Goochland. Irving retired after 42 years with the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers. God has blessed Anne and Irving with six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. They are celebrating 65 years together, and live in Powhatan.
