The Farmville-Prince Edward Historical Society will meet Tuesday at 7 p.m. in the historic Farmville Train Station, 510 W. Third St., Farmville.

Did you know a murder took place at Hampden-Sydney College in 1857 in the fourth passage of Cushing Hall? Dr. William E. Thompson, retired Presbyterian minister, author and historian, will share the facts and mysteries related to this event. Thompson is the author of the recently published book, “The Murder in Cushing Hall.
