Third Thursday Book Club meets

The Third Thursday Book Club met April 21 at the home of Bettye Williams. Dr. Larissa C. Tracy, associate professor of medieval literature at Longwood University, was the speaker. Tracy is a medievalist whose work focuses on 13th and 14th century writings and their relationship to the Anglo-Saxon period and Viking Age. Her latest book is “Wounds and Wound Repair in Medieval Culture.” She is also co-organizer of “Meeting in the Middle,” an annual regional undergraduate conference in medieval studies held at Longwood.
