MY START: I started with cross country first, then my parents started talking to me about doing track because they used to do it. I gave it a try and ended up loving it since then. Now I am a captain.
MY TEAM: We lost a lot of people after last year. This year, we have a lot of new people and to see them come in and just pick up where we left off is great. We have a lot of hardworking people out here and they are showing the same amount of dedication as the people we lost.
FAVORITE SPORTS MOVIE: “Fast Girls.”
MY EVENTS: Long jump, triple jump, 100-meter, 200-meter and 4X100 relay.
BIGGEST INSPIRATION: My coach Linda Amos because she always pushes us to do better. She will pick me up when I am down and I feel better.
AFTER GRADUATION: I want to become a physical trainer. I will attend Piedmont Virginia Community College right after school and then I hope to transfer to Norfolk State University.
