Scohdt wins Large Pony title

Kaylee Scohdt, 13,  represented Hamilton Oaks Farm, in Meherrin, over the weekend at the Hollins Spring Welcome at the Virginia Horse Center in Lexington, and returned home as the Large Pony Division Champion, Grand Pony Hunter Champion and Large Green Pony Division Reserve Champion. She also received the Tom Ginaven trophy.

Scohdt was assisted by trainer Holly C. Welter, of Meherrin, and rode Norwood’s Mastercraft, owned by Welter and Jamie Pope, of Keysville.

“With this dream team in place, there’s no telling how far they will go,” Pope said.
