A 22-year-old Pamplin man is charged with robbery and conspiracy to commit robbery after police say he robbed the Prospect Convenience Store on U.S. 460 at Prospect.

Mykeam Tramann Robinson reportedly stole an undisclosed amount of cash and lottery tickets, according to Maj. David Wilmoth of the Prince Edward County Sheriff’s Office.

Wilmoth said Robinson told the store cashier he had a weapon, but didn’t display it.

The reported robbery took place at about 5:08 p.m. on Feb. 24.

Both charges are felonies.

The incident was reported shortly after a tornado hit Evergreen, knocking out electricity to the store, Wilmoth said.

“(He) indicated he had a weapon. No weapon was displayed. The investigation is still on going,” he said.

Those with information on the incident are asked to contact the Prince Edward County Sheriff’s Office at (434) 392-8101 or Crimestoppers at (434) 392-3400.
