Longwood’s schedule for its weekend series against Coastal Carolina has been changed due to weather expected in the Farmville area late Saturday afternoon and all day Sunday.

Longwood and No. 22 Coastal Carolina will play a doubleheader Friday starting at 2 p.m. with a single game Sunday, instead of playing the three games over three days as originally scheduled. No change has been announced to the start time for Saturday’s game, which was originally scheduled for a 4 p.m. first pitch.

WVHL 92.9 FM Kickin’ Country will carry game two of Friday’s doubleheader with Scott Bacon on the call, beginning his sixth season of the voice of Longwood baseball.

Longwood opens Big South play on the heels of consecutive weekend sweeps against Fairleigh Dickinson and Hofstra at home.
