Judy Snoddy Lightner, 64, of Dillwyn, died Friday, March 18, 2016. She was born May 20, 1951, the daughter of Evelyn P. Nicholas and the late Robert H. Snoddy Sr. She was the manager of Nicholas Supermarket.

Mrs. Lightner was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and daughter. A caregiver to many children, a loving Nannie to Shelby. A generous neighbor and friend, who loved to smile and laugh. A true perfect angel on Earth.

In addition to her mother, she is also survived by her husband of 42 years, Douglas Lightner; daughter, Christine A. Lightner; granddaughter, Savannah R. Lightner; sister, Mattie S. Land (Ray); three brothers, Robert H. Snoddy Jr. (Heather), David P. Snoddy (Cindy) and Dean L. Snoddy (Debbie); and numerous nieces and nephews and their families.

A funeral service was held March 21 at Bethlehem Baptist Church with interment in the Glenmore United Methodist Church Cemetery.
