Hampden-Sydney College senior pitcher Reggie Johnson (Dunnsville/Essex) was named the Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) Pitcher of the Week for his stellar performance on the mound this past Friday.

Johnson moved to 3-1 on the season in working 8.2 shutout innings to help Hampden-Sydney blank Roanoke, 4-0. Johnson surrendered just four hits and walked three. He fanned six batters.

Johnson’s effort lowered his earned run average to 2.36 in 38.2 innings of work, the fifth most in the ODAC.

Johnson and the Tigers return to action on Saturday when they host Shenandoah in a double-hitter that begins at noon.
