Charles ‘Charlie’ Reid

Charles “Charlie” Reid, 60, of Keysville, passed away at home with his loving family by his side on Monday, March 7, 2016.  He was born in New York on November 16, 1955 to the late William and Catherine Martini Reid.  He was married to his loving wife, Marilyn Waski Reid for “too many years” (according to Charlie).

He loved motorcycles, the Denver Broncos, and driving as an over the road truck driver. Charlie was known for his generous and unselfish nature.  His favorite pastime was spending time with his family, friends, playing with his grandchildren, and watching the Broncos win.

He is survived by his wife, Marilyn; four daughters, Carole Reid of Keysville, Jenny Hughes of Petersburg, Catherine Reid (Jeremy) of Kenbridge, and Jessica Abernathy (Kevin) of Kenbridge; seven grandchildren, Scottie Potter, Aimee Potter, Megan Hughes, Danyelle Hughes, Conner Abernathy, Kristen Abernathy, and Eli Potter; two sisters, Marguerite Gant (John) of Farmville and Catherine Janicek of Parachute, CO.  He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, William “Billy” Reid, and a brother-in-law, Gary Janicek.  Family will receive friends on Thursday, March 10 at Puckett Funeral Home from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m.

A funeral mass will be held on Friday, March 11 at 11 a.m. at St. Theresa’s Catholic Church.
