Sidney Allen Barker Jr., 56, of New Canton died Monday, February 15, 2016.   He was born September 14, 1959 to the late Sidney and Agnes Sharpe Barker.  Sidney was retired from the Buckingham Correctional Center after 20 years of service.

He loved the outdoors, going boating, fishing, and trailing around on his four-wheeler, but most of all he loved his Harley.  He even traveled to South Dakota for the Sturgis Bike Rally.

Sidney is survived by his three sisters, Nancy Brown and husband, Robert, Brenda Broidy and her husband, Thomas and Linda Smith and husband, James; five nephews; two nieces; five great-nieces and one great-nephew. 

Funeral services will be held Friday, February 19 at 1 p.m. at the Dunkum Funeral Home with interment in the Cedar Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Thursday from 5 until 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
