Dr. Lee Roesti, retiring director of music at Farmville Presbyterian Church, was presented a resolution from the Session recently commending him for his ministry.
In thanking Roesti for his service, pastor Dr. Thomas Robinson said, “We thank you for your hard work, leadership, and passion for the Gospel of Jesus Christ and commend you to the blessings of God the Father, Son and Holy Spirit as you move into a new chapter of your life.”
Roesti joined the church staff in 2008. An accomplished arranger, composer and director, he put special touches on musical pieces in enhancing worship. Over the years he mentored over 25 choral scholars from Longwood University.
Roesti holds a Doctor of Music Performance degree in piano from West Virginia University. He taught college level music for 17 years before spending 22 years as a director of church music. He and his wife Cora live in Farmville.
