CVA to offer Stencil Workshop

Central Virginia Arts will offer a workshop, “Stenciling and Stamping,” on Saturday, Feb. 20, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Hampden-Sydney College, Winston Building, second floor.  All materials are provided.

Presenter Mary Swezey has a BFA in art history from Virginia Commonwealth University and an MFA in fibers from Arizona State University.

She has also studied textile techniques at Arrowmont School of Arts and Crafts and Haystack Mountain School of Crafts.

She has taught at Virginia Commonwealth University and Longwood College as well as VMFA.

The fee is $10 for students (teens and above), $15 for CVA members and $25 for non-members.

Central Virginia Arts, a partner of the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts, is a regional, non-profit organization offering lectures, workshops, exhibits, tours and socials throughout the year.

Artists and art appreciators are encouraged to join the workshop at annual membership rates of $15 for an individual and $20 for a couple or family.
