Centra Southside welcomes Dr. Martin

Dr. Jo Martin is the newest addition to the Centra Southside Medical Center family.
Martin will join David Pruitt, M.D., medical director; Christy McLean, M.D.; Ranjit Singh, M.D.; Robert C. Wade, D.O.; Michele Donoghue, N.P.; Debbie Palley, N.P.; and Steve Stone, P.A. at the Centra Southside Medical Center, 935 S. Main St., Farmville.
Martin is a Powhatan County native and a graduate of the Medical College of Virginia. She completed her residency at Spartanburg Regional Medical in Spartanburg, S.C., where she also served as the chief resident. After completing residency, she was a captain in the U.S. Air Force, serving as a primary care physician at Maxwell AFB in Montgomery, Ala. She is board certified with the American Board of Family Medicine and a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians, the Richmond Academy of Medicine and the Medical Society of Virginia.
Martin is married with two daughters. She has extended family in Powhatan, Cumberland and Dillwyn and has strong ties to the community.
Martin will be providing care for walk-in patients only at Centra Southside Medical Center. Follow-up care will be arranged with one of the center’s other primary care providers as needed. For more information regarding hours and availability, call (434) 315-5340.
