New Hope Baptist Church, 1909 Cartersville Road, will hold its annual Black History Celebration on Saturday, at 4 p.m. with the Rev. Dr. Alvin Edwards, former mayor of Charlottesville and pastor of Mt. Zion First African Baptist Church, Charlottesville, as guest minister and music by the Buckingham Community Choir. A fellowship hour will follow. All are invited.
