Top scorers recognized by board

The Prince Edward County School Board recognized students who achieved perfect scores of 600 on two or more SOL tests (administered in 2015) at its January meeting. The following students were recognized:
• Ronald Carricato III, a sixth-grade student at Prince Edward Middle School scored 600 points on grade 5 reading, grade 5 science, grade 5 mathematics and Virginia studies.
• Noel Alexandra Deppen, a ninth-grade student at Prince Edward High School, achieved perfect scores of 600 points on grade 8 writing, civics & economics and geometry.
• Gabrielle Cheri Roldan, a fourth-grade student at Prince Edward Elementary School, scored 600 on grade 3 mathematics and grade 3 reading.
• Jayla Janay Ford, a sixth-grade student at Prince Edward Middle School, acheived perfect scores on on Virginia studies and grade 5 reading.
• Meera Sela Mishra, a sixth-grade student at Prince Edward Middle School, scored 600 on Virginia studies and grade 5 reading.
• Gwendolyn Marie Werth, a seventh-grade student at Prince Edward Middle School, achieved perfect scores on grade 6 math computer adaptive and grade 6 reading.
• Lindsay Ruth Bencick, a twelfth-grade student at Prince Edward High School, scored 600 on EOC writing and EOC reading.
• Bailey Gibson Carkenord, a twelfth-grade student at Prince Edward High School achieved perfect scores on EOC writing and EOC reading.
• Christian Frederick Kinzer, a twelfth-grade student at Prince Edward High School, achieved perfect scores on Virginia and U.S. history and chemistry.
Forty-one other students achieved a perfect score of 600 on SOL tests.
