DILLWYN — A three-alarm house fire destroyed a two-story home at 167 Troublesome Creek Road on Wednesday morning.
According to Dillwyn Volunteer Fire Department Capt. Wallace Goode, the fire was reported at about 8:30 a.m., and crews arrived on scene about 10 minutes later to find that the house was fully engulfed in flames.
Two people lived in the home, Goode said, which was destroyed.
The cause of the fire is under investigation and is not suspicious in nature.
Firefighters were on scene for several hours, he said. Firefighters from Toga and Arvonia volunteer fire departments assisted Dillwyn, Goode said.
