Thomas McLaughlin Chambers, 64, formerly of Rice, passed away on Tuesday, January 5, 2016 after a brief illness. Tommy had resided at The Woodlands for the past 14 years. He was formerly employed with STEPS, Inc. and was a dedicated member of Jamestown Presbyterian Church.
He is survived by two brothers, Richard Vernon Chambers Jr. (Erma) of Colonial Beach and Robert Morton Chambers of Rice; three nephews; a niece; a host of cousins and many friends, all who loved him dearly. Tommy was preceded in death by his parents, Richard “Billy” and Marjorie Bass Chambers.
The family will receive friends on Friday, January 8 from 6 p.m.–8 p.m. at Puckett Funeral Home.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 9 at 11 a.m. in Jamestown Presbyterian Church,
Rice, with interment to follow in Trinity Memorial Gardens, Rice.
