RUSTBURG — Del. C. Matthew Fariss (R-Rustburg) has been charged with misdemeanor hit and run following a July incident in Campbell County.

The incident occurred on July 29, according to the state’s online general district court database.

The lawmaker, who represents Buckingham in the Virginia House of Delegates, was released on summons, according to the court website.

D.B. Hill is listed as the complainant in the case.

A March 23 hearing has been set in Campbell County General District Court.
