Good Samaritans help dig out neighbors and strangers alike
Clyde Minter, of Cumberland, is one of many good samaritans across the Heart of Virginia who voluntarily extended a helping hand during and after Winter Storm Jonas to those without the means or strength to plow and shovel their own driveways. Using his aged International tractor, Minter said, he clears every driveway on Tearwallet Road in central Cumberland County that needs it. Minter is an example of many good neighbors across Prince Edward, Buckingham and Cumberland who make their neighborhoods great places to live. We commend Minter and those like him who help their neighbors, friends and complete strangers in their time of need.
