Shores is a true community leader

Wilson Shores has been an integral member of the Cartersville community in Cumberland for many years. He is a founding member of the Cartersville Volunteer Fire Department, where in the 1950s his painting business’ ladders were used to fight fires before the department had adequate equipment. The 88-year-old is proud to say that he’s lived in Cartersville his entire life. He’s a member of the Cartersville Ruritan Club, a deacon at Cartersville Baptist and a member of the Masonic Lodge. We commend Shores for his leadership and work for the people of the community. Send “Way To Go!” photos with names and descriptions to waytogo@farmvilleherald.com.
