Prince Edward County Middle School students in Mr. Peterson’s civics classes wrote to elected officials (of their choice from a selected list) at various levels. The class received a response from Dr. David Smith, school superintendent, Vice President Joe Biden and Senator Tim Kaine. The class also received a response from Gov. Terry McAuliffe and President Barack Obama, who also sent photographs.
