CUMBERLAND — Cumberland High School has been named a WISE Blue Star school by the Virginia Department of Education.

Working in Support of Education, or WISE, recognizes schools that have informed students about financial literacy based on results of the WISE Financial Literacy Certification Test, according to information from the school division.

“To earn the Blue Star recognition, a school must achieve a 75-percent pass rate on the test and have either a majority of students in a particular grade level take the test or have the students who took the test achieve an average score of 80 percent or higher,” according to the division.
