The Cumberland Middle School volleyball team won the Goochland Middle School Queens of the Court tournament in October. The team first battled Powhatan and lost. They then defeated William Monroe, St. Gertrudes and Goochland to advance to the championship game. They won 24-10 against Powhatan to win the tournament.  The team members are, from left, Mariah Paras, coach Hannah Rhodes, Mariah Williams, Maddie Hartley, Logan Franklin, Jordan Cooke, Sydney Gilbert, Danielle Suchomelly, Caroline Seal, Caitlin Hartley, Elizabeth Newman, Penny Dorsey, Nikki Hurt, Hannah Lenz-Phillips and Kristen Caleb.
