Donald Virginius Murray

Donald Virginius Murray, 90, widower of Anna Lee Blanton Murray, departed this life September 24, 2015.
He was born on April 13, 1925 in Richmond to Charles A. B. Murray and Agnes Teresa Zessin Murray. He was also predeceased by a brother, Charles James Murray, and a sister, Winifred Murray Hulbert.
Don attended John Marshall High School, Class of 1942, and was a proud member of the John Marshall Cadet Corps, Company F. He started his college education at the University of Richmond, to be interrupted by his service in the United States Army during World War II, in the Pacific Theater. He resumed his education on his return, and graduated from the University of Richmond, Class of 1948.
His career started in the Petersburg, office of The American Tobacco Company. He transferred
to the office in Norfolk, and he retired from the Richmond office after 39 years of service.
He lived most of his retirement in Cumberland before returning to Richmond.
Survivors include his children, a son, Charles Alexander Murray, an ever constant daughter, Lee Blanton Murray, a sister, Doris Murray Boehling, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Internment will occur at a later date.
